India's democracy
starts when people speak
and institutions listen.
Share your views on the government, political parties, protests, courts, policing, public services, and the issues shaping everyday life. Read evidence, question power, and make room for disagreement. No party speaks for this platform.

Independent by design.
Janmat is a concept for a non-partisan public opinion and political journalism platform. It does not endorse a party or represent a scientific survey.
Editorial principles
Accuracy before speed. Clearly label news, analysis, and opinion. Link to primary sources whenever possible. Give subjects a fair opportunity to respond. Correct material errors visibly. Moderate abuse without suppressing good-faith disagreement.
Poll transparency
Every poll should state its question, start and end dates, eligibility rules, verification method, total valid responses, and limitations. Public web polls are self-selected and should not be presented as representative of the electorate.
Privacy & security model
Use a reputable OTP provider, hash or otherwise protect verification identifiers where feasible, rate-limit attempts, and keep authentication data separate from ballot choices. Enforce one accepted ballot per poll with a database uniqueness constraint and atomic server transaction.
Collect the minimum data necessary, define a retention schedule, restrict admin access, encrypt traffic and stored data, and provide a clear privacy notice. A normal web poll cannot guarantee one vote per real-world person without stronger identity checks.
